Lyrics
I've got my watch on
I've got my stopwatch on
I left my head home
I left my head at home
I watch an episode
I missed an episode
I'll be, I'll be fine

Head rush!
Got me rushing home
to watch an episode
of my favorite show
Tape it
'cuz I know you won't
I'll be, I'll be fine

In the middle of the night she said
leave it out
leave it
in the middle of the night she said
that we're just friends

Head rush!
Episode!
Tape it!

I've got my watch on
I've got my stopwatch on
I left my head home
I left my head at home
I watch an episode
I missed an episode
I'll be, I'll be fine

In the middle of the night she said
leave it out
leave it
in the middle of the night she said
that we're just friends

Do you want to pretend?
Don't want to pretend
Do you want to stay friends?
Don't want to be friends

In the middle of the night she said
leave it out
leave it
in the middle of the night she said
leave it out
leave it
in the middle of the night she said
leave it out
leave it
in the middle of the night she said
that we're just friends
that we're just friends

I don't want to be
I don't want to stay friends

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

This is WONDERFUL! You've captured the feel of the show perfectly, and this song is just AWESOME for Curtis' "voice". I love your cuts, they're wicked smart, and this vid is just fucking fantastic.

Thank you so much! This has totally brightened up my day!

Woot! Twitch City vid!! This is fantastic. It really captures so much of Curtis and of the Curtis Hope relationship.

I think I am traumatized by just HOW Canadian that is! How in the world did I never see this show? Are you sure that you are not actually Canadian, because I kind of think that you are!?

That was a lot of fun, and strange, and the orange sweater kind of scared me. And Ace Pizza (2:19) still exists; it is on Augusta in Toronto... not very good! :P

Twitch City is an intensely Canadian show. It's crazy.

Are you sure that you are not actually Canadian, because I kind of think that you are!?

At this point I should at least be honorary! (My grandmother was born in Montreal! Hee.)

Thanks for watching it, and commenting!

BRILLIANT!
Oh, Curtis, you're such a knob, and yet, so cute! Hope/Curtis 4-Eva!

This was absolutely charming.

Re: BRILLIANT!
I find it impossible to describe Curtis' charm because he is such a knob. But it's there. Hee. Thanks, darling!

OMG, I can't believe you vidded this song! I found this on a music blog several months ago, and I never expected anyone to vid it.

I don't know the fandom, but I watched the vid out of curiosity over what you did with the song. It looks like the main character is addicted to TV, and the girl wants him to stop watching TV and pay attention to her, but he's too addicted!! That's awesome!! Now I am curious about this show.
The sanest lunatic you've ever met: buffy: vidding[info]sdwolfpup on October 22nd, 2007 11:18 pm (UTC)
I never expected to vid it either, but that description you gave of the show is generally what it's about, with about 1000 times more crazy. Heh. Thanks, W!

I finally got a chance to watch this, and I absolutely loved it. The song fits the show so well, and the pacing is excellent and the scenes you chose just fit perfectly. Awesome vid!

I still haven't seen the show but now I really, REALLY want to. If it's half as charmingly quirky as this vid I will love it to pieces. Wonderful. :)
The sanest lunatic you've ever met: buffy: vidding[info]sdwolfpup on October 22nd, 2007 11:19 pm (UTC)
Aw, thank you! It is a very charming show but extremely quirky. It can blindside you. *g*
Dualbunny: Princess Bride - Life is pain[info]dualbunny on November 4th, 2007 10:12 am (UTC)
Awwww. Halfway through I was thinking, hey, this is a really fun vid! Cause all the movement was fun, and the cutting is really snappy, and funny things were happening, and then the real story snuck up on me and all of the sudden I was really really hoping that those two were going to get together even though the song kept telling me HAH NO.

And then the end came and broke my heart a little. AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO THEY ARE. Other than obviously Canadian. Heh. Also, I love how you vid these relatively static-camera shows. Even if the way you vid them tricks me into thinking they will not chip little pieces off my heart when I'm not looking.

Thanks for watching this and commenting, DB! It's an intensely quirky show, and (spoiler!) it does end happily for the couple. So all hope is not lost. Hee.

I just now got around to watching this vid! Because I'm that far behind. And while I have no idea what's going on with the crazy TV-addicted guy, Twitch City is apparently shipping on the 11th. *g*
The sanest lunatic you've ever met: duesouth: vecchio shines[info]sdwolfpup on November 18th, 2007 04:13 pm (UTC)
HEE. It's a fun show, I look forward to seeing your response to it.

Thank you!

so [info]snoopypez just informed me that you had done a twitch city vid and i was like REALLY OMG WHERE WHO WHEN HOW WHERE?

and...it's fantastic! somehow it makes me BOTH feel like curtis and hope are doomed AND like curtis and hope will be together forever in sparkly pink fields of daisies. not sure how you did that.

i especially liked when the song said "headrush" and curtis was trying to leave the house with the walls going all wonky. oh, curtis. and this is an awesome song i think i need to download it.
The sanest lunatic you've ever met: buffy: vidding[info]sdwolfpup on April 2nd, 2008 05:40 am (UTC)
Yay, thank you! Curtis and Hope are like the impossible pair - they shouldn't work, but they totally do.
Dess[info]dessert_first on July 6th, 2008 08:28 pm (UTC)
Okay, so I haven't seen this show. And how adorable is Callum in that shot of him? Awww. But mainly, I just wanted to say I love this vid. The song is fantastic and just perfect for the show, and I love how the music gets happier when she shows up at :13. I feel like I really got a sense of the show and of the character's journey through this vid, and in a larger sense, it made me think about my own relationship to media. A wonderful vid, and one I'll keep coming back to. Thank you for sharing it.
The sanest lunatic you've ever met: duesouth: smile[info]sdwolfpup on July 7th, 2008 04:40 pm (UTC)
Oh man, dess, if you can get your hands on it, it's worth it for the Callum bits alone. He is ADORABLE in this show! And if you like Don McKellar at all, the whole thing is worth it. :)

Thank you for watching it and commenting! I'm so glad you liked it; and it's a great compliment that you'll watch it again.

This vid is a lovely encapsulation of the way Twitch City feels -- all that claustrophobia, agoraphobia, and wackiness -- but you've made it tell a different story. I know that's what vidding is all about on some level, but the extent to which you make it work here blows my mind happily. Kudos.
